(Ini Tunku Putri mana pulak dah. Semenjak tahun 1981 dah ada penjelasan bahawa Sultan Abdullah ni anak gundik, takkan 25 tahun tak reti-reti lagi kot. Asyik nak ubah sejarah saja kerja orang tertentu ni,biar bunyi sedap. Paduka Seri Sultan Abdullah ni Raja Pulau Pinang, sebab abang tirinya Tengku Long Putra, anak gahara dah jadi Perdana Menteri)

Appointed as deputy ruler with the title of Yang di-Pertuan Muda together with the personal title of Sultan, with control over Kedah proper, 6th April 1760. Unpopular with his relatives, his appointment induced many to form an alliance with the Bugis to depose him, leading to their invasion and capture of Kuala Kedah in March 1771. Succeeded on the death of his father, 23rd September 1778 (maklumat ini pun salah untuk memadamkan kewujudan Tengku Long Putera dan Sultan Khalifah Sharif) Accepted Siamese sovereinty and dispatched the first "Bunga Mas" in 1781. Caught between a contest for power between Burma and Siam, he sought help from the HEIC against Siam. Leased Pulau Pinang (Prince of Wales Island or Penang) to them on 17th July 1786. Failing to regain the island by force in 1791, he was compelled to recognise its perpetual lease to the company, for as along as it wished.
